Hello, I’m Alice. Find me amongst the flowers, surrounded by butterflies & the bees.

I’ve been growing flowers for over a decade; there is nothing I would rather be doing & nowhere I would rather be than with my hands in the soil & my face in the flowers.

In 2022 I moved to Exmoor, Somerset - stepping away from my 8 year wedding floristry career in Guildford to get back to my first love; growing flowers for wildlife, for scent, and for the pure joy & healing that they can bring us.

I started my career in floristry by working in a wonderfully wild floristry shop aged 21. There I was introduced to an abundance of beautiful, unusual flowers & the techniques needed to showcase them best. I soon fell in love with the wedding floristry process; the friendships formed with the brides and grooms and the excitement of bringing their flowery visions to life.

Ever enthused by the wonderment of Mother Nature, and having completed an RHS horticultural course I set up MeadowFolk in 2015. First on a field in Hampshire, polytunnel and all. Then in Surrey where I continued growing flowers in my mothers garden to use in the many weddings I did each year. I still take on a few weddings each year either in Somerset/Devon or Surrey & am continuing to be a recommended supplier for weddings at RHS Wisley (it is a horticulturalists DREAM venue!) so am always happy to hear from brides and grooms who need flowery magic created for their wedding day.

I am part of Flowers From the Farm, a collective of flower farmers throughout Britain championing British flowers, and a few years ago had the honour to be asked to demonstrate my floristry at RHS Hampton Court flower show; encouraging others to grow their own cut flowers & do some eco-friendly flower arranging with them!

I proudly practice sustainable floristry & pesticide free farming to make sure that every arrangement I create from the flowers I grow is infused with the most beautiful, natural seasonal beauty.

I will be opening up my flower field a few times in the summer months for workshops and flower harvesting days so that I can share some of the MeadowFolk HQ magic with you in person!

With flower filled gratitude & honeyed love, Alice x
